Graduate students can pursue a Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Development
Students enrolled in the MBA + program may choose to add a Real Estate Certificate to their degree. The certificate utilizes courses that are offered by the Schools of Business Administration and Urban Studies & Planning. Courses are taught using active participation from real estate industry professionals. Students may receive qualifying or continuing education credits toward professional Real Estate Appraisal or Brokerage licenses. Please note that obtaining a Real Estate Certificate concurrently with the MBA + may require additional credit hours.
On May 30, 2007, PSU’s Center for Real Estate held its Second Annual Real Estate Conference. This year’s conference, titled “Real Estate in the Sustainable City,” attracted more than 600 attendees from various areas of the real estate industry. Keynote speaker Peter Calthorpe, noted architect and planner of Calthorpe Associates, shared his ideas on new urbanism and building sustainable communities.
The conference also included a panel of local real estate professionals who discussed ways to improve the public and private partnership process. The conference was generously supported by 26 event sponsors and 41 table sponsors, enabling the center to raise $60,000 in funds which will be used to support its operations.
